Available for all parishioners and guests in the Parish Center Hall after the 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Masses on Sundays from October through March. Parish groups serve as hosts. The host group in charge serves and supervises the coffee, juice, and donuts and cleans the hall and kitchen afterward.
Four times a year [March, June, October, and December] we provide and serve a meal to the homeless guests at Pine Street Inn, Boston. Volunteers meet at the Parish Center, drive into the Pine Street Inn, and serve the meal to approximately 350 men. The food is provided by the Pine Street Inn. St. Mary’s very generous parishioners donate the funds for the meal.
This parish outreach assists in setting up the Rose Garden Hall to host the mercy meal for the family and friends of a deceased person after a Funeral Mass. Caterer services are coordinated upon request.
Usually 3 or 4 members are required each time, for approximately 4 hours, alternating so everyone has an opportunity to help. Preparing of the tables (i.e., tablecloths & flowers) prior to serving is required and light cleanup of the facility is done after family members & friends leave.

TV Mass
This ministry records the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass so it can be shown on Mansfield Cable Access during the week. It brings Mass to those unable to be there. No experience is necessary and not much time and effort is required.
This ministry involves visitation of homebound parishioners and those in area nursing homes. Eucharistic Ministers bring Communion to the homebound weekly or monthly. Pastoral visits are made by the priest two/three times yearly to all the homebound within the parish. Annual healing Mass with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is celebrated followed by dinner in the Parish Center. Greeting cards and bulletins are sent to parishioners who are hospitalized and Christmas/Easter cards are sent to all parishioners who are homebound and to those in area Nursing Homes.
Parish Nursing is a prevention, screening, teaching, and advocacy program. The Parish Nurses can answer some of your medical questions, present informative health education programs, facilitate the access to community services for people in need, listen to your concerns, and pray with you over those concerns. All contacts are confidential and all efforts will be made to find appropriate resources.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic lay organization founded in 1833. The Society seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity, a person-to-person involvement assisting those in need. Vincentians seek to bear witness to the love of Christ through prayer, meditation, and a spirituality of action. The Vincentian volunteer serves others, does not judge, and remains available to others. We help St. Mary's parishioners, non-parishioners, and people in need throughout our diocese. We work in collaboration with other local ministries and social services to provide food, heat, transitional housing assistance, and other support services.
How do Vincentians do this work? Through the generosity, prayers, and financial support of our St. Mary's faith community.
